10 Steps to Starting a Business From the Ground Up

 
 
Are you someone who's wanted to start your business but are lost with where to start? You have ideas for who you want to help but are stuck with where to begin and how to put it together? Have you been trying to do the things on your own but keep getting lost, overwhelmed, and eventually give up??
 
Does the thought of royally fucking it up prevent you from even trying??

Realistically, if you've never been taught how to take your ideas, put them into a brand, create products off of it and market yourself... then how WOULD you know??
 
That's why I decided to take this blog post to recap my newest FREE training that goes into the 10 steps I teach my clients to go from clueless about the steps to start their business to making 10k+ months.
 

STEP 1. Plan your time like a CEO

Set up your schedule for success. Figure out how to break down your larger mission and vision into quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily to-do's that make you effective af without draining your energy. 

STEP 2. Identify your niche, ideal client, & messaging

 Do this by getting super clear on your vision and the change you want to see in the world. Who are you helping? How are you going to help them? 
 
BE SPECIFIC AF.
 

STEP 3. Use Social Media

There are multiple social media strategies!
 
We want to connect deeply to our ideal client and build their trust WHILE considering what the Instagram algorithm (hashtags, time of posting, engagement) needs to look like to put our content in front of the right people. 
 

STEP 4. Content Development

Once we know when/how to post we get to move on to WHAT to post. 
 
Your content should be intentional! What are you trying to say to your audience? What do you want them to do with that information? Are you trying to show them your process of transformation? Or maybe you're winning their trust by showing them who you are? 

Once you know what kind of value you want to offer, present it in a clear and easily digestible way.
 

STEP 5. Create Freebies, Email Lists, and/or Landing Pages

The reason we have these things is to help increase trust between you and your followers. 
 
This is a second touchpoint (outside of social media) where you can provide consistent, massive value to connect with your audience and also identify who your "hot leads" are. 
 
You can also use podcasts, blogs, Facebook groups, or any other number of free resources to accomplish this but you do not need all of them! Prioritize an amazing customer experience over the number of platforms you're on. 
 

STEP 6. Program & Product Development 

Having multiple products is ideal to provide several options to your clients that range from low- to high-ticket prices and simple to complex transformations.
 
However, when you're just getting started it's SO important to focus on the products that are going to get you full time in your business. In R&T we focus on creating a product that will pay your bills while also allowing the space you need to grow your business and add more products as you do. 
 

STEP 7. Lead Generation & Nurturing

These are key to gaining your follower's trust, getting them interested in your process, and handling their objections before you ever even get on a sales call. 
 
Free training, Masterclasses, chatting in the DM's, and engaging with other entrepreneurs - through things like joining their podcasts or doing IG Lives together - are just a handful of ways that you can get in front of your audience in a no-pressure, value-packed way. 
 

STEP 8. Marketing

 Present yourself and your product in a way that feels good, is authentic af, and attracts the people you truly want to work with, effortlessly. 

Use marketing as a way to connect to your ideal client's pain points and provide glimpses into what it would look like to live without them, after your process. 

STEP 9. Launching

Master the phases of a launch so that your followers are ready and waiting for your products, they understand exactly what you're offering, and they know what makes you different than anyone else in your field. STEP 10. Sales

Finally, begin to make the massive income you deserve that will support the energy exchange and insane investment that you're putting into the health and happiness of society.
